Is the brain way more complicated than most brain scientists think?

Stuart Hameroff’s talk was unexpectedly interesting.  He talked about how gap junctions and microtubules make neural operation in our brains much more compklext than the synaptic model  implies.  Gamma synchrony, microtubule memory.  Makes the computational requirements for consciousness more demanding than other singularity proponents have been assuming.
